Greensboro Bound Book Festival

Where stories come to life.

Each spring, our Book Festival brings stories to life through a full day of author conversations and experiences that celebrate the power of the written word. Readers, writers, educators, students, publishers, and families gather to explore ideas, discover new voices, and participate in a vibrant literary community.

At its core, the festival is about connection. Books are more than something we read. They are a way to engage with others, to listen and learn, and to understand ourselves and the world more fully. The festival creates a space where readers and writers can come together to share stories, ask questions, and spark meaningful dialogue.

A Different Kind of Book Festival

    Thoughtfully Curated Conversations

Rather than formal readings or traditional panel discussions, Greensboro Bound creates thoughtfully curated conversations. Authors are paired by theme, genre, shared experience, or the ideas explored in their work, with a skilled host guiding the conversation.

The result is something more personal and engaging, giving audiences a deeper look at the creative process, the issues that shape the work, and the perspectives behind the stories.

  • Greensboro Bound Book Festival is for every reader and writer

    Every Reader and Writer

From children's authors and family programming to fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, history, culture, and more, the festival welcomes readers of all ages and interests.

Nationally recognized authors share the stage with emerging voices, while workshops give writers opportunities to learn from visiting and local authors, strengthen their craft, and find inspiration for their own work.

    Diverse Voices. Real Stories.

The Greensboro Bound Book Festival is built around the belief that literature can help us better understand ourselves and one another.

Our lineup reflects a broad range of backgrounds, identities, experiences, topics, and perspectives. Through thoughtful conversation, we create space to listen, learn, ask questions, and discover stories beyond our own.
